A mid-18th century English cast iron hob grate with distinctive hourglass shape. An original of the Georgian period, this antique hob grate is decoratively cast with neoclassical details including two distinctive obelisks to either side with urns to the top and cameos to the body. Pairing function with form, this Georgian fire grate is the perfect accompaniment to a traditional chimneypiece, pairing beautifully with a neoclassical style Georgian wooden fire surround.
