About the Item

A small 19th century Georgian Scottish Carron of Falkirk cast iron fireplace insert. An outer rim plate hosting arched reeded moulding with corner blocks of flowers, resting on moulded foot blocks, the tapered side panels of further reeding supporting the three polished front bars with spaced balls sandwiched between. Carron stamped to the lower left base block. Falkirk, Scotland, circa 1820.
