This grand, imposing chimneypiece draws inspiration from a lavish Georgian design dating back to circa 1729 and reflects the influence of the 17th-century architect and stage designer, Inigo Jones.
Originally conceived as a dramatic, theatrical flourish for the elegant, understated Palladian villa, this fireplace is crafted from premium-quality Italian Statuary white marble. The surround showcases the skill of a master stone-carver, featuring a striking female mask at the center of the frieze, with exquisite detailing on the corbels and jambs.
