About the Item
Executed in Italian Carrara marble this antique fireplace surround reflects late 19th-century Neoclassical influence, distinguished by its symmetrical form, linear proportions. Fluted pilasters on either side, each with twin baluster-style columns supporting block capitals. The frieze is decorated with a central circular medallion, adding symmetry and balance.
The grand fireplace offers an imposing statement piece for a renovation project.
