A late 19th/early 20th century antique English mahogany fireplace with a pine structure and worn French polish finish. With its sharp, angular lines, this smart Victorian fire surround will make a stunning feature in interiors of any age or style, the slight sheen of the French polish finish drawing the eye and creating a pleasing patina.     Worn French polish finish. Several light ring marks to shelf. Previously part of a panelled room so there is a groove in the back of the shelf; ideally needs to be set approx. 3.5 cm approx into a wall to cover this leaving a visible depth of 12.5cm.
