A Statuary white and Portoro marble fireplace from the early 19th century English Regency period. The jambs with inlaid panels of Italian black and gold Portoro marble, stood on separate foot blocks. The end blockings again with inlaid Portoro flanking a frieze with conforming deign and inlay. The shelf above reeded. A simple yet architectural design.
