About the Item
An antique English Victorian oak fire surround presented in its original finish. This large, commanding piece is carved from high-quality cuts of oak, with exceptional woodgrain showing throughout.
The cascading foot blocks lead on to deeply carved jambs, culminating with ornate floral corbels. The opening is lined with egg and dart moulding, accented at each corner with a floral design. The frieze is symmetrically panelled with a detailed centrepiece of four symmetrical leaves.
This main room scale fire surround has a uniquely deep carved shelf, which could be altered if required.
