Antique French marble fireplace, circa 1860–1880.
Late 19th-century fireplace surround in white Carrara marble, with a gently bowed (demi-lune) shelf, a carved cartouche and shell motifs to the lintel, and fluted jambs with rosette corner blocks. The design is balanced and restrained, characteristic of the Louis XV period. Retains its original patina and is in good, stable condition. Suitable for both period interiors and contemporary architectural projects.
