A very large and substantial Louis XVI period fire surround from the late 18th century. The wide fluted frieze with end blocks of large well carved square Patarae, supported by conforming and tapering fluted front panels. All beneath a wide a moulded edged shelf. A very well drawn fireplace and in superior quality Bardiglio marble.
