About the Item
An impressive, antique Regency chimneypiece carved from fine Statuary Marble.
Delicately carved details are seen throughout. A deep profile urn with overflowing florals adorns the central frieze. Torch and flames entwined with swags and bows are carved into each end-block.
The original Regency piece has reeded jambs that rest on substantial footblocks. A splendid example of Regency design.
The surround has been gently restored in-house and can be viewed at our Hertfordshire warehouse.
