About the Item

A very decorative 19th century Country French Louis XV st. hand carved honey colored and patinated oak mantel. The scalloped bandeau with a lattice design and moulded edge has a central shell. Both jambs are topped by an impressive S' scrolled acanthus leaf above intertwined foliage reserves. All below the moulded edge rectangular solid oak top. Interior dimensions H: 37.5" L: 61" D: 12.5"
