A large Georgian style antique 19th century fireplace mantel of simple yet elegant design in Antico Verde and Pencil Vein Carrara marble. The jambs in Carrara with Pilaster Antico verde supported on Carrara foot blocks and mouldings with Carrara capitals and carved rosette corner blocks. The Frieze again of Antico Verde with a plain centre fielded tablet of Pencil vein Carrara. The mantel above being stepped and moulded.

The large fielded panelled tablet with cushion moulded panels either side. All beneath a simple plain shelf. Carved in a certain strain of Italian Carrara marble commonly referred to as "Old English" as it was used predominantly in the late 18th , early 19th centuries.
