About the Item

Antique fireplace in Levanto red marble, typical Italian marble also called breccia, has applied bronzes typical of the Empire style, with carved faces and lions. Produced by hand in the 19th century for an important Italian villa, it has elegance of form and grandeur of size and style. Large Empire fireplace in Settebasi breccia marble. Settebasi breccia, a prized marble already well known in ancient Rome, takes its name from the villa of Septimius Bassus on the Via Tuscolana, where it was used in large quantities. The fireplace features a straight top and a front decorated with frames and bronzes of exquisite quality. Curly legs with rich decorations, original from the first half of the 19th century. Dimensions: W 195 x H 194 x D 75/60 ​​cm, the internal opening measures W 133 x H 148 cm.
