John Ednie for Wylie and Lochhead.
A rare Arts
Crafts Glasgow School Oak cupboard or overmantel with carved Cherubs to the centre and stain glass panels to the cupboard doors, beside corinthium columns.
This piece follows closely John Ednies interior design for a snooker room at Athole Lane, Dowanhill. Glasgow shown in the last image where there are corresponding carved Cherubs to the interior woodwork. I have further images to support this.
The was probably originally designed to sit on top of a large oak fireplace, which could be built into an interior design.
