About the Item
A large and very well carved Louis XV style fireplace in Italian Carrara Marble. The large and deep serpentine shelf with Rococo frieze beneath of carved central cartouche with shell and acanthus leaf with C scrolls, raided panels either side.
The console leg jambs cantered with stiff acanthus above the scrolled mounted foot blocks. Fielded panels with descending bell drops and end blocks scrolled capped acanthus
Shaped and Panelled side returns.
