About the Item

A large and impressive Gothic Revival fire grate in wrought iron with brick fire back. The front supports swept out on splayed feet with curved elongated uprights with dragons heads with ringed mouths. The burning area of curved balustrade bars and semi circular grate with a shaped fire back flanked by small finials. I very unusaul and good quality fire grate from the mid 19th century. English Gothic Revival
