A large late Georgian / Regency period English cast iron hob grate. Dating from circa 1800, this antique hob grate was reclaimed from a London townhouse. Typical of the period, it is cast with ornate details throughout including a decorative design to the backplate, foliage pattern corbels and scrolling decoration beneath the basket. The perfect pairing for a large Georgian era fire surround.
