A charming Mid-Century Modern wall-mounted electric fireplace by Sears Roebuck, complete with its original crackling illuminated logs and functional space heater. Combining nostalgic warmth with sculptural presence, this piece evokes the optimism and ingenuity of 1950s–60s domestic design.
The surround is finished in molded faux stone—a textured resin aggregate painted in natural stone tones—offering the appearance of rugged masonry without the weight or permanence of brick or concrete. The inset firebox houses glowing, lighted logs behind the original chain-link screen with its dual pull handles, adding authenticity and tactile appeal.
The fireplace operates with or without heat: a side control knob adjusts output, and the integrated lighting simulates realistic flame effects. The original Sears model label remains on the back, confirming provenance. Lightweight and simple to install, the unit includes a 100 lb picture wire and standard two-prong plug, making it a true plug-and-play vintage hearth.
Recently cleaned and inspected, the wiring, lighting, and heating elements are in working order at the time of listing. Vintage condition.
