About the Item
Georgian neoclassical style hand carved limestone fireplace. This fireplace was copied from a Georgian original made by George Hill and Author Darley of Mercer Street, Dublin. It was installed in a house on Merrion Square, Dublin in 1780, and is a great example of the high quality neoclassical fireplaces, that can be found in the finest of 18th century Irish houses.
This is a very faithful to the original, hand carved reproduction made by Ryan
Smith.
