About the Item
Unfinished reproduction wood fireplace mantel with carved sunburst and fluted pilasters. This particular mantel exhibits decorative carving, including a central sunburst motif and fluted pilasters, which are characteristic of various historical periods, often drawing inspiration from Neoclassical or Federal design.
Copied from an antique wood fireplace mantel sent to China in 2010 made with a larger opening 42" x 59.50" and legs that can be removed for easy shipping. It has never been installed but does have some small cracks and marks shown in the photos that can be filled, sanded and painted. This is a great size mantel at a very good price and would look amazing painted.
