Elegant pair of marble architectural fragments dating from the Renaissance from a historic palace in Vicenza. Made of Carrara marble with inserts of French red and black marble (origin unidentified), these decorative elements present a refined geometric and chromatic composition. The two pieces, slightly different in size and detail, were probably part of an altar or decorative ecclesiastical or civic architectural apparatus. The careful workmanship of the reliefs and the harmony of the materials testify to the high quality craftsmanship of the period. Shipping worldwide.
