About the Item
Centerpiece fountain topped with an octagonal basin in Rosso Verona marble and Greco Thassos marble.
The basin sourced from the garden of a Venetian villa.
The basin is octagonal, adorned with floral arrangements at the base. Its shape makes it ideal for placing in the center of a large garden. Water flows from the center of the basin through a hole.
The basin rests atop a pedestal comprised of three beautiful cherubs. The anatomy of the cherubs is perfect and precise. Generously sized but well-proportioned, the weight is appropriate.
A truly unique lot, of exquisite quality. The marble is refined and exquisitely crafted, with a soft, fine grain. Overall, this is a very important lot, suitable for large spaces, exclusive, and rarely found. It is in very good overall condition, intact, and functional.
It can be shipped in a properly packaged wooden crate.
