About the Item
An antique, European looking iron fountain spout, beautifully hand-cast in the form of a duck’s head. It has a great personality, it feels very French or English, with a mid-century vibe. It has a lot of charm and character without being fussy or too ornate. Once part of a garden or water feature, it personifies architectural charm and originality. Over time, the iron has developed a rich, natural patina, with layers of weathering and oxidation, a wonderful, aged finish that enhances its antique character. It’s a perfect architectural element for lush English or sleek modern gardens. It can also be displayed as an architectural relic on a shelf or coffee table or perhaps topped on a stack of books. It was previously owned by an artistic rug designer. Truly one-of-a-kind, these "found" architectural pieces are getting harder and harder to find!
