About the Item
Fabulous metal garden, patio, sunroom arm chair having a cast iron, and steel frame, with classic style brass colored iron columns as back supports. The chair once had a caned seat, which can be replaced, or reimagined. The painted metal finish shows significant wear, and can be restored, or used as is if you prefer the patinated look. One front leg has been re-welded to the underside of the seat, it is an old repair which is stable, and sturdy - please see images.
We believe this rare chair is European in origin and have seen it referred to as Austrian, it also could be Spanish, French or Italian, it is unsigned.
Structurally sound and sturdy, shows obvious cosmetic wear, one old repair to the front leg, and the canning is no longer present. Selling as is, as found.
