About the Item
19th Century terracotta vase from Anduze in France.
The Anduze range of pots originated from the Cévennes mountain ranges of Southern France, most specifically in Anduze which is located at the foot of the Cevennes range.
This handmade terracotta glazed pot was uniquely created, initially to plant orange and lemon trees within an aristocratic home. Having aged beautifully, with hints of glaze showing through the flaked terracotta. It will make for a lovely decorative piece, inside or outside the home.
