About the Item

Antique Terracotta Amphora olive oil pot. This European terracotta amphora was probably used for the storage and transport of olive oil. The double handled jug is green painted around the mouth and shows a beautiful natural patination of use over time to the whole body of the vessel. Incised bands are noticed. Overall condition is very good. Small old chips are well worn. Gorgeous patination. (See photos). Measurements: H 10.5” x W 8” x D 6.5” Weight: 4 lbs. 12oz.
