About the Item

This very decorative matched pair of country house type brass watering cans, one is a five pint and the other is a six pint, are both beautifully made in solid sheet brass. The larger one has a maker stamp on its underside for Williamson and Sons of Worcester. The watering cans also have matching brass labels on their tops with the words The Langham. The Langham is a large famous quality Victorian hotel in London. The cans are labelled to identify them as the property of the hotel and would have been used by staff members for watering flowers or potted plants around the establishment. Both pieces have had some solder repairs over the years but are generally in good condition. English circa 1900. G H Williamson and Sons were sheet metal works in Providence Street, Worcester and were in operation from the late 19th century until circa 1930.
