About the Item
A Tuscan wall relief panel handcrafted in Italian terra cotta, inspired by the work of Luca della Robbia. Beautifully three-dimensional and modeled in richly toned Tuscan clay, this sculptural panel reflects the refinement and architectural depth characteristic of early Renaissance reliefs.
This design is one of ten panels commissioned in 1431 from Della Robbia. The original works were carved in marble and illustrated verses from Psalm 150. Initially installed in the Cathedral of Florence, the panels were later relocated to the Museo dell’Opera del Duomo. This terracotta interpretation preserves the historic presence and visual rhythm of the original compositions.
