About the Item
19th century Neoclassical Italian hand carved marble Corinthian capital. Carved in high relief on three sides from white marble with a now weathered surface. The fourth side left unfinished as it must have been against a wall or inn a niche. This capital will make a great base for a piece of sculpture - on either side, or just a great decorative item on it's own.
