About the Item

A stunning and extremely decorative French 19th century Louis XVI st. onyx, ormolu, and Cloisonné pedestal. The column is raised by a square base with a beautiful stepped design, ormolu feet, and a mottled ormolu socle support with a striking interlocking band, foliate designs, and a remarkable Cloisonné wrap around band. The onyx column displays an elegant fluted design with a beautiful richly chased pierced ormolu mount of a charming woven basket with lovely blooming flowers tied with a ribbon at the front below a superb colorful Cloisonné reserve also repeated at each side and the back. Above the lightly tapered ormolu support decorated with finely detailed rosettes is the square display tier where the centerpiece rests. Available with complimentary urn, item# 12218B, sold separately Measures: top diameter: 11.75".
