About the Item

A handsome and most decorative French early 19th century Neo-Classical st. patinated Wood and Giltwood pedestal/column. This wonderful fluted pedestal is raised by a square stepped block plinth below two Giltwood bull nose bands. The fluted patinated off white column above leads to a top Giltwood band below the richly detailed and architectural Ionic capital with an egg and dart trim, while supporting the mottled square display surface. Top Dimensions: L: 16.5" x D: 14" Base Dimensions: L: 20.5" x D: 19.75"
