About the Item

Constructed in walnut, dressed with gold gilt bronze mounts, polychrome gold paintwork and Marseilles Rose marble; of bombe form, rising from gilt bronze sabot shod swept legs, the hinged and lockable cupboards framed within Rococo bronze giltwork, are painted with putti, in the manner of Bougereau, and enclose shelved interiors, with conforming cartouches over; the sides are quarter veneered, and surmounted with marble platforms with three quarter balustraded galleries.
