About the Item

A handsome pair of Italian Turn of the Century Neo-Classical st. Giltwood Corinthian columns, circa 1900. The pair of carved Corinthian columns are raised on square plinths below a wrap around Giltwood socle with mottled edges. The slender tapered central column displays wonderful flutes from top to bottom and showcases the stunning original gilding. The capitals above display Rocaille designs with an array of draping acanthus leaves below the flat top display tier with mottled edges. All original gilding throughout. Top Diameter: 6.25
