About the Item

This antique planter or jardiniere is unsigned, but presumed to have originated from England and date to approximately 1880 and done in the period Victorian style. The planter is composed of brass with a plated finish and the sides feature a series of whimsical chased rabbits and carrots. The planter has a hand-hammered bottom with lion head mouhted ring handles and it stands on four stylized paw feet.
