This antique-style terracotta faux bois planter is a striking sculptural piece designed to mimic the natural form of a hollowed tree trunk. Crafted in terracotta and finished in warm earthy tones, the planter features deeply textured bark detailing and multiple organic openings throughout the body, enhancing its realistic, hand-formed appearance. The faux bois (false wood) style was especially popular in late 19th and early 20th century garden and architectural décor, prized for blending naturalistic design with durable materials.
The cylindrical form tapers subtly and includes several cut-out cavities, which may serve both decorative and functional purposes, allowing for creative planting, drainage, or display.
