About the Item

French work from the second half of the 19th century. This elegant jardinière features an openwork structure with lattice motifs, enhanced by rich ornamentation of foliate scrolls and volutes. The corners are enlivened by finely sculpted female busts, evoking caryatids inspired by the Rococo repertoire. The ensemble rests on four cambered feet decorated with shells and acanthus leaves. The fresh gilding highlights the finesse of the sculpture. A model of rare refinement, ideal for sublimating a prestigious interior.
