About the Item
An English Champaign bucket made of oak with copper bands and a coat of arms from the late 19th century. This oak bucket retains its tin liner which is intended to protect the wood. The bucket is made of dark oak slats secured by two copper bands. A knotted and leather covered rope handle lifts the bucket via two bronze loops secured just below the top. This Victorian English oak Champaign bucket, circa 1880, with rope handle and brass bands would make a wonderful addition to any home, perhaps as a planter for a beautiful plant or possibly displaying decorative balls.
