About the Item

A fine large round Meiji bronze jardiniere with rooster decoration, accented with geometric shapes around the rim and foliate designs around the birds. Very good overall condition, with some evidence of verdigris, a minor hole in the base, and other minor surface imperfections. Probably dates to the late 19th or early 20th century. Dimensions: Approximately 17.5 in H x 22 in diameter, with a 13.5 in rim. Ref: 8
