About the Item

A Spanish terracotta planter from the 19th century. This antique planter from Spain, approximately 2 feet in height, has a rounded shape and is widest at its top lip, becoming more narrow towards its bottom, and rests upon a flattened base. The interior has a wonderfully contrasting white, with color remnants about various areas on the exterior as well. There are fabulous old repairs/mending which wrap about the body in several areas, which only add to the interest and texture of this piece. A pair of drainage holes are found along the bottom; one at each side. This 19th century Spanish pot can stand alone as a decorative art piece, though it would also make a nice planter (we recommend sitting an already potted plant inside), or as an interesting way to hold/display small objects.
