Known as a Biot pot (named after the French town where they originated in the Middle Ages), this bulbous terracotta pot has a beige hue with a ring of yellow glaze near the opening. The glaze has been stamped with a Maltese Cross, which is a symbol of the town of Biot, and was one of six seals used on Biot pots during the 1600s (see last detail photo).

- Condition:Repaired: Visible evidence of restoration. Wear consistent with age and use. Strong antique condition. Visible restorations that are quite old. Excess glaze on one side. Minor interior buildup. Fleabites and light pitting, with larger inherent cavitations to the interior.
