This imposing floor vase is a masterful piece of large-scale ceramic artistry, executed in a traditional Amphora form modernized by its lustrous, organic glazing. The thick ceramic body is finished in a heavy, flowing glaze dominated by subtle light olive-green and pale celadon tones, interspersed with natural ochre and sienna drips around the lip, evoking a sophisticated, weathered patina. The single scrolled appliqué visible near the lip provides a subtle decorative flourish that grounds the piece in traditional forms while its monumental scale and clean lines appeal strongly to Contemporary and Transitional design.
