About the Item

Incredibly gorgeous 31" tall and 18" diameter 'Diablo' concrete spindel planters by Swiss architect Willy Guhl for Eternit, circa 1968, Switzerland. These sculptural hourglass shaped concrete planters have a grey exterior finish, one darker grey and the other two are light grey. Three available, priced individually. If you are purchasing less than all three, please message us with which one(s) you wish us to ship. We have a large collection of Willy Guhl for Eternit pots, planters, garden objects, jardinières, and patio furniture. We always have inventory in Diablo's, Tilted and Cone Planters, box and rectangular Guhl's and more. See our other listings or contact us for details. This spindle shaped 'Diablo' pot possesses such artistry and perfect for an interior designer home. Consider using this spindel planter in an Architectural, Postmodern, Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian Modern or Danish Modern garden or penthouse apartment balcony but could also look fantastic in a Contemporary or Zen / Minimalism setting. Also consider mixing it up in a traditional, transitional, classical or Art Deco space with a splash of juxtaposition. Would also be an Apt choice in a commercial project such as an outdoor hotel lobby lounge or members club, creative design studio or high-rise executive office balcony. These were originally made with asbestos as the fibrated material to strengthen the concrete. Therefore we suggest only for outdoor use. CONDITION: Sturdy and structurally sound with beautiful light patina and minor scratches and minor chips as to be expected with age. Flaking to paint as seen in photos.
