About the Item

Mid 20th C. or Earlier Cast iron Dimensions: 32.5 × 15 × 15 in. (each) / 83 × 38 × 38 cm Weight: 250 lbs/114 kg each. Because these items are very heavy, they will need to be crated prior to shipping. The male has his paw on a ball, which is a symbol of the world, and the female has her paw on a pup, which symbolizes the people. As a pair, they are the protectors of the world. They have a clear coat finish over their natural color, but they can be repainted any color. While they represent guardian lions, they are also often called foo dogs.
