Rustic metal wire egg basket with original hook and chain (ca. 19th Century, USA).
Though originally used for housing eggs, this hanging basket doubles as a catchall or planter and is suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
Good, vintage condition with scuffing and some light rusting present from outdoor use.

Handle is wrapped in a warm-hued rattan, and rattan 'ties' attach the baskets to the iron frame.
