Gabriella Crespi, Rising Sun Series, Basket, 1970s Small basket or Cachepot designed by Gabriella Crespi as part of her Rising Sun series, produced in Italy during the 1970s. The piece is made of finely arranged bamboo, characteristic of this collection, and reflecting Crespi’s focus on craftsmanship and natural materials. The basket represents Crespi’s exploration of light and texture through simple, refined forms. A functional object that also expresses the sculptural quality typical of her work from this period.
