About the Item

Exceptional pair of openwork Paris porcelain centerpieces, richly enhanced with gold decoration. Dating from the Restauration – Charles X period (circa 1820–1830), these pieces exemplify the refined craftsmanship of Parisian ateliers in the early 19th century. With their flaring shape and wide openwork rim, they stand on an elegant high pedestal and a square base accented with gilt lines. Their airy silhouette and understated decoration make them both decorative and functional objects. Ideal as a dining table centerpiece, fruit baskets, or mantel garniture paired with candlesticks, these pieces will fit beautifully into both classic and contemporary interiors. Condition: Very good overall condition. Fresh gilding with very light wear consistent with age. One small, almost invisible restored hairline on one of the pieces. A rare and decorative pair, highly representative of the elegant taste of the Restauration period.
