About the Item
Rustic and beautiful folk art birch-bark cradle basket from Sweden. The basket is crafted in a traditional Nordic artisanal style, made from woven birch bark and leather. The upper edge is reinforced with a decorative edge stitching that both stabilizes the structure and highlights its handcrafted character. On the outside are two leather straps, typical of this type of transport and carrying basket for infants, commonly used several generations ago.
Dimensions: approximately 66 cm long and 36 cm wide.
Condition: very good, with a lovely patina in warm natural tones.
In addition to its original purpose, the basket also serves excellently as a decorative storage solution for throws, cushions, or magazines. Its sturdy construction and natural materials make it a beautiful accent in homes with rustic, Scandinavian, or nature-inspired interiors.
