A super-sized, hand-hammered copper pot with brass carrying handles, England, circa 1860.
Very heavy, beautifully hand made with a thick rolled rim.
Showing hammer marks to the interior.
Riveted brass handles at either side showing verdigris where they are joined to the copper bowl.
Oxidized and oiled patina.
Useful by the fireplace for holding rolled papers and other fire starters – amazing in the kitchen for holding potatoes and onions.
20.5 inches from handle to handle.
The bowl itself measures 17 inches in diameter x 5.5 inches high.
