About the Item
Blue and white porcelain bowl realized in China late Ming or early Qing dynasty period. The interior is delicately painted in cobalt blue with a riverside landscape featuring rocks, water motifs, and a solitary figure, encircled by double-line borders. The exterior is adorned with freely brushed blue washes suggesting mist and waves. The shallow rounded sides rise from a short footrim with an unglazed base showing age-related grit and kiln firing marks.
Wear consistent with age, minor rim fritting, and glaze imperfections.
A charming example of early blue and white porcelain, ideal for collectors of Asian ceramics.
