About the Item
An early ceramic bowl designed by Anna Lisa Thomson for St. Erik Keramik, Uppsala, Sweden, circa 1920–1929. This piece reflects the refined Nordic Art Deco aesthetic, with a rounded body, small integrated handles, and a softly flared rim. The glaze features deep turquoise and earthy undertones, giving the surface a vibrant yet subtle character.
(Eventually, St. Erik’s ceramics production was absorbed into Uppsala Ekeby, which grew into one of Sweden’s largest and most important ceramic manufacturers of the 20th century.
